Will Smith Says He Will Consider Entering Into Politics Eventually

Will Smith remains one of the most popular actors in all of Hollywood and it seems people still wonder whether he will ever get into politics.

While speaking Crooked Media’s Pod Save America podcast, Smith once again discussed the idea of him running for office one day. Smith said that he will consider entering into the political arena in the future.

“I think for now I’ll let that office get cleaned up a little bit and then I’ll consider that at some point down the line,” Smith said. “I absolutely have an opinion, I’m optimistic, I’m hopeful, I believe in understanding between people and I believe in the possibility of harmony. I will certainly do my part, whether it remains artistic or, at some point, ventures into the political arena.” 

The talks about Smith running for office likely started in 2015 after Smith said on CBS’ Sunday Morning that Smith felt he had to enter into politics after Donald Trump’s racist rhetoric during his presidential campaign, without outright mentioning Trump.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena,”

We will have to see when the day will come that the world will see Will Smith enter into the merciless world of politics.
