Fans want more sequels to the Friday franchise, but Warner Bros is keeping them on lock down according to Ice Cube.

The NWA rapper logged onto Instagram and he put out a rather concerning post. Along with a cartoon of the Friday cast, Cube declared that Warner Bros is holding his beloved franchise hostage, not allowing him to make any new additions.

#freefriday from the jaws of Warner Bros. who refuses to make more sequels. They have hi-jacked the happiness of the culture.

The 1995 comedy has seen two sequels, but fans want more. There are certainly more stories that could be told. The celebrated stoner flick hasn’t seen a new film since 2002’s Friday After Next.

According to the late John Witherspoon, a fourth installment of the series was green lit in April 2017. They were supposedly working on something, with a script underway in 2018, but Warner Bros is keeping fans from that happiness.

Now that #FreeFriday has hit the internet it cold go viral. Perhaps, Warner Bros will listen.
