Jeff Bezos Surpasses Elon Musk To Become World’s Richest Person Once Again

Elon Musk’s reign as the world’s richest person has come to an end as Jeff Bezos has reclaimed the spot yet again. Musk became the world’s richest person in January of this year and his reign lasted six weeks.

The change in spots took place despite a dip in both of their fortunes on Tuesday. Bezos’ net worth reduced by $372 million to $191 billion due to approximate 0.3 percent drop in Amazon shares as reported by Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.

On the other hand, Tesla’s stock suffered a 2.4 percent decline, resulting in Musk losing almost $4.6 billion. His current net worth is $190 billion.

Bezos regained his title merely two weeks after the announcement that he will be stepping down as Amazon’s Chief Executive in the third quarter of 2021. However, Bezos will remain the Executive Chairman of Amazon.
