Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce, is taking a light-hearted approach to some cringeworthy tweets from his past that recently resurfaced and went viral. These tweets date back to the years 2009 to 2011 when Kelce apparently used Twitter as a “diary.”

In a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Travis humorously shared, “F–k. What’s hilarious is nobody followed me back then.” He confessed to attempting to delete those tweets since he entered professional football in 2013. But, alas, they came back to haunt him, and he joked, “What a f–king year that was… What was I even f–king doing in some of these tweets?”

The tweets caused quite a stir, and Travis admitted to feeling “tortured” by the online backlash. He quipped, “If nobody tortured me for the singing [on Jason’s ‘A Philly Special Christmas’ album], I got my fix.”

His brother, Jason Kelce, chimed in by recalling one of Travis’s amusing tweets about feeding a squirrel and hilariously misspelling “squirle.” Travis added, “The funniest one is this f–king teacher one, man… ‘sooo this teacher tried to call on me in class like i wasnt paying attention, well i was and i didnt fold under preasure [sic], DUB…’ I don’t remember this at all.”

Taylor Swift fans have surprisingly praised the tweets, finding them wholesome and endearing. Travis and Taylor Swift have been linked romantically, but the Grammy-winning singer has remained tight-lipped about their relationship.

In a recent interview with WSJ. Magazine, Travis opened up about his connection with Taylor, describing her as a “genius” songwriter who handles immense public scrutiny with grace. He also hinted at a cupid-like figure who played a role in bringing them together, leading fans to speculate about Jason Sudeikis, a fellow Chiefs fan, being the matchmaker.
