Get ready, Marvel fans, because Venom 3 is roaring back to life, and it’s less than a year away from hitting the big screens!

Tom Hardy, the star and producer of the Venom franchise, recently took to Instagram to spill the beans on Venom 3’s resumption of production. He dropped a tantalizing behind-the-scenes snapshot of himself alongside director Kelly Marcel.

The film had briefly kicked off production earlier this year but had to pause due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA Hollywood strikes. Now, it’s back on track and racing toward its release date, which has been set for November 8, 2024.

Venom 3 will see Kelly Marcel (known for Fifty Shades of Grey) back in the director’s chair, having previously penned and produced the first two Venom flicks. Alongside Tom Hardy, the cast is getting a boost with the additions of Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor. It’s a star-studded lineup in front of and behind the camera, with Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker also on board as producers.

Plot details for Venom 3 are shrouded in secrecy, but eagle-eyed fans suspect it will follow up on Eddie’s adventures in the multiverse, as hinted in the post-credits scenes of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home. One thing’s for sure: Tom Hardy is adamant about nailing the story and delivering a worthy third installment.

In the grand scheme of Sony’s Marvel Universe, Venom 3 is just one piece of the puzzle. In 2024, Marvel aficionados can look forward to Madame Web, scheduled for February 16, starring a stellar ensemble cast. And don’t forget about Kraven the Hunter, finally releasing on August 30, 2024, after a long delay. With Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the titular role and an impressive supporting cast, it’s shaping up to be a wild ride.

Mark your calendars, folks, because Venom 3 is swinging into theaters exclusively on November 8, 2024.
