And here’s the scoop on the casting bombshell of the century! Remember Johnny Cage from the ’95 original? Yeah, we all missed him in the 2021 reboot, but fret not, Kombatants. The sequel is dropping a Johnny Cage bombshell, and it’s none other than Karl Urban!

In Mortal Kombat 2, Urban is reuniting with the surviving crew from the last movie, including Lewis Tan, Mehcad Brooks, Jessica McNamee, Ludi Li, Tadanobu Asano, Chin Han, and Joe Taslim. But wait, there’s more! New faces are joining the fray, like CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, Martyn Ford as Shao Khan, and Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel. Prepare for a battle royale like never before!

The burning question: when can we get our hands on Mortal Kombat 2? The release date is still shrouded in mystery, but rumor has it we’ll be duking it out in theaters in 2024!

The first movie left critics divided, but it rocked HBO Max, becoming a fan favorite in no time. Will Mortal Kombat 2 deliver the spine-ripping action and gore we crave? We’ll have to bide our time a bit longer, but with production back in full swing, the wait won’t be too much of a test of our endurance.

So, Kombat fans, are you ready for the sequel’s theatrical showdown? And how about Karl Urban stepping into Johnny Cage’s shoes? Share your thoughts, ’cause this Kombat hype train is leaving the station, and we’re all aboard!
