Diddy is taking his basketball game seriously, and he’s enlisted the help of NBA shooting coach Lethal Shooter to improve his skills.

In a video shared on Instagram by Lethal Shooter (real name Chris Matthews), the Bad Boy Records founder can be seen working on his jump shot with some interesting results.

There’s a humorous moment when Diddy misses a shot and vents his frustration by tossing the basketball away, shouting, “Motherf****r!” But he doesn’t hold back about his own basketball skills, admitting, “Gonna let you in on a secret. Diddy right now has the worst jump shot that a Black man can have.”

In the comments, former NBA star Nate Robinson expressed his surprise, asking, “These n-ggas never pick’d up a ball and shot around? Like never?”

Fans also had some fun with Diddy’s basketball journey, with one jokingly noting, “Soooo… we just gonna act like we don’t see this white guy following Diddy around with a lamp.”

Diddy’s collaboration with Lethal Shooter follows in the footsteps of fellow hip-hop star Drake, who also sought the coach’s guidance to improve his jumper. Lethal Shooter praised Drake’s progress, saying, “Drake’s ability to shoot after we made the necessary changes is very impressive. Tell him something and he catches on instantly. Shooting from NBA range, and most importantly, his form is clean.”

Lethal Shooter has an impressive roster of clients, including Kanye West, Future, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, and Chance The Rapper. He’s even worked with non-musical stars like Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and comedian and basketball enthusiast Adam Sandler.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
