The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn Tour” has made history, leaving a trail of records and accomplishments in its wake as it wraps up its European leg.

According to Touring Data, this tour has etched its name in the annals of music history by becoming “the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist in European history,” a remarkable feat that even surpassed Beyoncé’s previous record.

As The Weeknd journeyed through 30 shows across Europe, he raked in a staggering $158.1 million in revenue, with over 1.6 million tickets sold. Notably, his performances in France (Nice and Bordeaux) and Madrid were absolute sellouts, netting the artist a cool $16 million for just four concerts.

In Bogotá, Colombia, The Weeknd didn’t just deliver mesmerizing music; he collaborated with 35 local companies to stimulate the economy, generating around 1,500 jobs in the process.

This tour has been a relentless record-breaker from the start. In July, The Weeknd set a new attendance record by drawing 160,000 fans over two nights at London Stadium.

Live Nation’s Touring President, Omar Al-joulani, expressed to Variety his amazement, saying, “It’s incredible to see the Weeknd hit this milestone less than halfway through his massive sold-out European run.” He acknowledged the global fanbase that The Weeknd has cultivated over the years.

Darryl Eaton, CAA’s co-head of North American touring, added, “Abel continues to sell at an astounding level across Europe.” He highlighted the enormous success of the tour, with record-breaking shows like the one at Wembley Stadium in August, where 87,000 tickets were sold.

But the journey isn’t over yet. The Weeknd is set to conquer new territories as he heads to Australia for a series of dates later this month and then wraps up in nearby New Zealand in December. The “After Hours Til Dawn Tour” is truly a testament to The Weeknd’s global appeal and his ability to make music history at every turn.
