Drake and Akademiks were caught up in a spicy feud earlier this year, with the Toronto rapper stepping in to play peacemaker.

The media maven spilled the tea during an exclusive sit-down with Vlad TV, and boy, did he drop some juicy deets! Apparently, Drizzy himself hopped on the horn to have a heart-to-heart with Akademiks about his beef with SZA. It wasn’t a knockdown, drag-out showdown, though. Nope, it was more like a friendly chat between pals.

“When Drake hit me up about SZA, I was like, ‘Wait, what?!'” Akademiks spilled the tea. According to him, Drake and SZA go way back, and he was concerned about how the drama was affecting her during the album-making process. So, he reached out to Akademiks, trying to find some middle ground.

In a shocking twist, Akademiks decided to bury the hatchet. He confessed, “Honestly, that was an axe I had to grind from a couple of years ago. I got it off my chest, and I ain’t got no beef with her anymore.” He even spread some love on his platform, sending good vibes her way.

But let’s not forget the summer saga that kicked off this whole mess. Back in August, while on a Rumble stream, Akademiks let loose a wild tirade about SZA’s looks and surgeries. He dissected every aspect of her appearance, saying things like, “The titties ain’t looking tiddying,” and “You fat as fuck, let’s keep it a bean.” Ouch!

He didn’t stop there, though. Akademiks went on to roast her hairline, calling her “a fat mini Lizzo.” He made it clear he didn’t care about her album sales, fake teeth, or lip gloss – he just saw her as a “fat mini Lizzo.”

SZA’s mentor, Punch, wasn’t about to let this slide. He fired off a tweet, saying, “He has to answer for those disrespectful things he said about SZA.” Akademiks clapped back, mocking Punch’s threats and asserting that nobody was scared of him.

But hold on, this wasn’t Akademiks’ first time throwing shade at SZA. Back in 2017, he called her “one of them Amazon bitches” during a gaming livestream and snubbed her from his show, Everyday Struggle. Then, earlier this year, she blocked him on social media after he shared a revealing pic of her on a Twitch stream. Drama, drama, drama!

What are your thoughts on the whole Drake, Akademiks, and SZA feud? Do you think it’s good that they were able to resolve their issues and move on, or do you think the drama was blown out of proportion in the first place? Share your opinions in the comments below.
