Mark Zuckerberg, the 39-year-old CEO of Meta, has announced that he tore his ACL while preparing for a “competitive MMA fight.” The tech billionaire took to Instagram to share the news and update his followers on his condition.

In a series of photos posted on Friday, Mark can be seen in a hospital bed with his left leg wrapped up. In the caption, he wrote, “Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me. I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that’s delayed a bit. Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support.”

Mark Zuckerberg has been known for his interest in MMA and even challenged Elon Musk to a fight earlier this year, although he later clarified that it wasn’t a serious proposition.

It remains to be seen when the Meta CEO will be back in fighting shape, but his determination to recover and pursue his passion for MMA is evident. We wish him a speedy recovery!
