John Cena was the face of WWE from 2006 to 2016 and has now adopted the role of a part-timer. He won numerous titles in WWE and managed to become a living legend already. He is set for a huge match at WrestleMania 39 and now it seems Cena has reacted to getting the opening match spot on the card for the event.

A few weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, John Cena returned to the red brand in what was a very emotional return. Obviously, fans were simply happy to see him back on WWE television again.

The Leader of Cenation got into a heated promo with Austin Theory and eventually agreed to face him in a blockbuster match at WrestleMania 39. It was more of a one-sided thrashing courtesy of Cena.

That being said, their WrestleMania 39 match was made official. While many are looking forward to the match, some believe John Cena really has no reason to compete in it.

The 16-Time World Champion took to Twitter and reacted to his getting the opening match spot on the card for WrestleMania 39. He likened it to his WrestleMania 20 match against The Big Show, where he was also the opening act.

First match, #WrestleMania 20, @TheGarden . First match, #WrestleMania 39, @SoFiStadium . Then. NOW. Forever.

John Cena is set to face off against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 for the United States Championship. It remains to be seen how WWE will continue to build the feud between Cena and Theory leading up to WrestleMania 39. However, fans are eagerly anticipating Cena’s return to the Grandest Stage Of Them All and are excited to see what’s in store for him.
