Ja Morant has certainly done well for him himself as many fans consider him to be one of the most exciting players in the NBA right now. Ja’s incredible dunks have helped him gain a large fan following. No matter what he does, Ja Morant always manages to make headlines. He finally returned to the court recently and fans were clearly happy to see him.
The return of Ja Morant to the Memphis Grizzlies following his suspension was met with a thunderous standing ovation from the home crowd at the FedExForum. Ja had been suspended for nearly the entire month of March due to a video he posted on social media showing him brandishing a gun at a gentleman’s club in Colorado. But the fans in Memphis showed that they still supported the star point guard, welcoming him back with open arms.
As Ja made his return to the court against the Houston Rockets, the crowd erupted as he came off the bench with just over three minutes remaining in the first quarter. The energy in the arena was electric, and it was clear that the fans had missed their star player.
Ja wasted no time in giving them something to cheer about, throwing down a monster dunk over Houston’s Kenyon Martin Jr. just minutes after entering the game. The crowd went wild, and Ja’s family, including his father Tee, who was wearing a sweatshirt with an image of Ja and the word “Redemption”, were on their feet cheering.
Despite only playing 23 minutes in the game, Ja made an immediate impact, scoring 17 points and helping lead the Grizzlies to a hard-fought 130-125 victory. His return to the court was a clear reminder of his talent and importance to the team, and it’s clear that the fans in Memphis are thrilled to have him back.
After the huge win, he thanked all of his supporters for standing by him during his time away from the team, adding that it “felt good to be back.” We certainly hope Morant does not get into trouble again and simply allows his basketball career to flourish instead.
