Tory Lanez has made headlines due to his legal battle with Megan Thee Stallion. He recently showed remorse over the shooting incident. While he is now behind bars, it seems Tory Lanez is still being advertised for Rolling Loud.

Lanez’s eagerly awaited sentencing hearing, scheduled for February 28, was postponed. According to seasoned reporter Meghann Cuniff, the delay is intended to provide the defendant’s legal team with ample time to prepare for a potential retrial.

The date has been set for the motion requesting a new trial for Lanez, which is scheduled to be heard on April 10. If the motion is denied by the judge, then the defendant will face sentencing on the very same day.

According to TMZ, it seems that either Tory Lanez’s legal team has a plan to get him out of jail before this weekend, or the organizers of Rolling Loud are not aware of his situation. Despite his recent arrest, Lanez is still listed on the festival’s California lineup, which has left some fans confused about his potential appearance.

The fact that Tory Lanez is still listed as a performer on the Rolling Loud website for Sunday could potentially create a major problem for the festival organizers. It is possible that when the actual artist set times are released, Lanez’s name will be left off completely, but it is still strange that he remains on the flyer considering that he was found guilty back in December.

It’s unclear whether the organizers are aware of his legal situation, or if they are simply hoping that he will be released in time to perform at the festival. Regardless, the situation is definitely something to keep an eye on as the festival approaches.

There is, however, fine print on Rolling Loud’s site to cover Tory not showing up- “Opening acts, as well as festival performers, are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. No refund will be owed if an opening act or festival performer is changed or cancelled.”

Tory Lanez’s legal team is currently working on getting him out on appeal, but his attorney David Kenner did not provide any further details on their efforts outside court on Tuesday. Despite facing a maximum of 22 years in prison, Kenner stated that Tory is holding up well.
