However, with the premiere date coming closer, the Walt Disney Company is gearing up its promotional efforts for the film, and fans are getting their first glimpse of Sebastian thanks to a new leak.

A Disney fan account recently shared images from an upcoming “The Little Mermaid”-themed puzzle on Twitter, and one of the puzzle’s images shows what Sebastian might appear to look like in the upcoming movie. The user tweeted, “New Little Mermaid puzzle coming out soon 😍 closer look at Sebastian! 🦀,” along with a few images.

Up until now, fans have been introduced to the live-action versions of Ariel (played by Halle Bailey) and Ursula (played by Melissa McCarthy), but Sebastian has just recently been introduced to the public, and they are not pleased.

Another Disney fan wrote, “Ah yes, So when marketable plushies release of Sebastian the crab from the live action Little Mermaid it’s just a plush crab you can get from the zoo,” in reference to what the future of advertising for the live-action movie will look like now.
