Brock Lesnar was one of the top guys in the WWE in the early 2000s. After having achieved success so early on in his career, Lesnar left the WWE to try his hand at combat sports, and he signed with the UFC. Within a short span of time, Lesnar would go on to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Bobby Lashley’s journey followed a similar trajectory. After achieving some success in the WWE, he ventured into Impact Wrestling as well as combat sports where he would compete in Bellator, and he was quite successful.

Despite their journeys following similar paths, the two men never crossed paths until a couple of years ago. Now, the Lesnar/Lashley rivalry is one of the most highly anticipated rivalries in the WWE.

Freddie Prinze Jr. said on his Wrestling with Freddie podcast that he believes Dana White should’ve paid up to have both men go at it inside the octagon.

“I wonder why UFC could never make that fight,” Prinze Jr. said. “If I’m Dana White, I’m telling Bobby Lashley, here’s $5 million. Then you give Brock $5 million, give him a piece of the pay-per-view and walk home with hundreds of millions of dollars.”

In hindsight, an MMA bout between Lashley and Lesnar could’ve really sold tickets and made money for everyone involved. But for now, that will have to remain a dream match. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we bring you similar stories.
