Tiger Woods Apologizes For Insensitive Tampon Joke

Tiger Woods is without a doubt one of the most recognizable faces in golf. His accolades speak for themselves in many ways. However, it seems he made an insensitive joke that was utterly unacceptable by many. Now it seems he has apologized for it as well.

Tiger Woods recently apologized for a tampon prank on Justin Thomas on Thursday (February 16) during the Genesis Invitation. He handed Thomas a tampon into his hand when the latter wasn’t able to outdrive him.

While Woods said that it was all in good fun, he expressed that he didn’t realize how others might be offended. He explained to reporters that “it was supposed to be all fun and games and obviously it hasn’t turned out that way. If I offended anybody, it was not the case, it was just friends having fun.

Many people were calling it juvenile and potentially disrespectful. However, both laughed at the prank, and many online believe Tiger has no reason to apologize. “Luv yew @TigerWoods,” one user wrote on Twitter. “Everyone offended stinks. There’s no way real people were offended. Only fake Twitter offended.”

We are certainly glad Tiger Woods decided to apologize for what he said. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what’s next for the legendary golfer.
