As the anticipation for this momentous occasion reached a fever pitch, James stepped onto the court with a single-minded purpose, determined to claim his place in history. And, as only he can do, he delivered in breathtaking fashion, pouring in a remarkable 38 points to surpass the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and claim the all-time scoring record.

In a fitting tribute to this exceptional athlete, a star-studded lineup came together to pay homage to the King. Drake, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Rihanna, and Kendrick Lamar were just a few of the luminaries who joined in a heartfelt video congratulating James on his incredible accomplishment.

“LeBron, what a legendary night in NBA history,” Drake starts the clip. “You’re breaking the all-time scoring record, and to honor that, I had to come back to the place it all started: Akron, Ohio. Every journey has it’s beginning, and tonight…”

Suddenly, the background is revealed to be a green screen and Drake is actually in a nightclub in Miami. He continued:

” I lied. I lied to you. I’m actually still at the club in Miami…congrats, brother. Sorry, sorry.”

In response to his accomplishment, LeBron James thanked everyone for their support and kind words.

“Thank you so much. All your help, all your passion, all your sacrifices that helped me get to this point. To the NBA, to Adam Silver, to the late great David Stern, I thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of something I’ve always dreamed about. And I would never, ever in a million years dreamt this any better than what it’s been tonight. So… Fuck man, thank you guys.”

According to HotNewHipHop, fans trolled Drake by labeling his video as “cringe.” Drake looks like the teacher at school that the kids called by his first name,” one user joked. Another user quipped, “Smh bro recorded the corniest video for one of the greatest accomplishments we will ever see in sports.”

Despite the accomplishment, James couldn’t carry the Lakers to a win as they lost to the Thunder 133-130. King James is proving that he is still in some incredible shape and can break a few more records. Stay tuned to Thirsty for News as we bring you similar stories.
