Trippie Redd, born Michael Lamar White IV, is a multi-talented artist who has taken the rap and hip-hop world by storm. With his distinctive voice, emotional lyrics and dynamic delivery, he has established himself as one of the most exciting and innovative young artists in the game. Despite facing his fair share of controversy and criticism, Trippie’s music continues to resonate with fans and critics alike, who are drawn to his unique blend of punk, hip-hop and trap influences.

Trippie Redd recently released his latest album Mansion Musik. While the album was well-received among his fans, one of the tracks on the album received mixed reactions.

Redd recently spoke to Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe where he spoke about the Travis Scott-assisted track at length and mentioned that he was held up for a ransom at one point for the project.

“I ain’t really speak on it, but I’m going to speak on it,” Trippie began. “I was held for ransom on my project. They wanted me to pay them a million dollars because they had all my records. Every single last one. All the features. Some hackers, they had all my songs, so I had to rush the project out.”

Trippie added that the final version of the song is what Travis Scott sent him because he didn’t have the time to get his engineer to mix it. He revealed that he felt pressure to drop the album as soon as possible out of fear that the hackers might beat him to it.

“I had to run with it because if I didn’t, the whole project was going to release and it would’ve been a big thing,” he explained, before touching on his previous hacking incidents. “And this has been a big thing. They have been hacking and leaking shit like crazy, at least my last two, three albums. I don’t know how they do it.”

Trippie continued: “I was like, ‘If I don’t drop it now, then it’s going to be out there and they’re going to hear it regardless. They’re going to hear the bad mix regardless, so I’m going to put it out unmixed and see what they think.’”

Trippie, however, reassured his fans who were listening that the album would be fixed and each track would be worked on.

“Yeah, the album did leak, actually, too. I work through anything. Got got the last laugh, you feel me?” he said. “Like the devil going to throw so much at you, you can’t really let it bother you. Just take the bruises, you’ll heal eventually.”

Mansion Musik was released on January 20 and was expected to be a big hit but unfortunately for the rapper, he got dealt a bad hand. We will have to wait and see if he keeps his promise of fixing the album. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we keep you updated on this story.
