Lebron James’ First No. 6 Lakers Jersey Is Up For Auction

LeBron James, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, has been a dominant force in the NBA for over two decades. Hence, the news of one of his jersey’s going up for auction is a big deal. Moreover, it’s not just any jersey. It is Lebron James’ first-ever #6 Lakers jersey which he wore on the opening night of the 2021-22 NBA season.

A rep with SCP Auctions told TMZ that the gold Nike “Icon” Edition jersey that James wore against the Golden State Warriors on Oct. 19, 2021, is up for grabs. This jersey is a big deal since it’s the first time that he sported the #6 for L.A. instead of his usual Cleveland-era #23.

The bottom left corner of the jersey shows Lebron’s jersey size and the date of the game handwritten on the tag. The jersey’s authenticity was tested in the MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program and passed with flying colors.

Lebron James finished that game against the Warriors with a game-high 34 points to go with 11 rebounds and five assists despite ending on the losing side that night. The auction ends on February 4. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we bring you similar stories.
