Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson remains one of the most popular pro wrestlers to have been part of the professional wrestling world. He is now a mega star in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t associated with pro wrestling. WWE has been dropping hints about his return recently, but it seems the most recent one might not have been about the Royal Rumble.

The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event will be taking place later this month and ahead of the event, WWE has released the official poster for the show. The poster seemingly dropped a hint about The Rock’s return as well.

In addition to that, WWE recently dropped more merchandise featuring The Rock, which included a hoodie with The Great One’s Brahma Bull Symbol. They also dropped a t-shirt that many fans believed was a hint at The Rock returning during the Royal Rumble, but that might not be the case.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that WWE releasing new merchandise featuring The Rock is more related to RAW’s 30th anniversary instead of the Royal Rumble.

Those close to the situation have noted WWE coming out with new Rock merchandise, but said that is more related to the 30th anniversary of Raw.

The Rock will likely duke it out with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. However, that still depends on whether The Rock will feel he is physically ready to compete in the ring again. We’ll have to see if The Rock will end up returning to WWE.
