Kevin Spacey Makes First Major Appearance As Since Assault Allegations

Kevin Spacey started his career in the 1980s and quickly rose to recognition all around the world. However, several victims came forward and accused him of sexual assault, which destroyed his reputation. The heinous allegations severely hampered his career and ousted him from Hollywood.

Following allegations of sexual assault that put his career on the rocks, Kevin Spacey recently made his first public speaking engagement. The actor expressed his gratitude for the invitation on Monday in a colorful Italian phrase to the Turin National Cinema Museum.

Spacey was given a lifetime achievement award by the museum. During the event, Spacey spoke about important roles in a master class, and then introduced a sold-out audience the 1999 movie “American Beauty,” for which he earned his second acting Oscar. NBC News reported that Spacey described the invitation using the Italian phrase for a male body part associated with bravery.

“I am truly blessed and grateful and humbled. And my heart is very full tonight toward the National Museum of Cinema for having had the “le palle” to invite me tonight,”

“By presenting this award, they are making a strong defense of artistic achievement and for that they should be applauded,”

Actresses Monica Bellucci and Isabella Rossellini, as well as filmmaker Dario Argento, have all received the Stella della Mole Award in the past. Meanwhile, the event, which sold out in advance, was advertised as Spacey’s first public appearancein five years. 

The actor lost his lead part in the Netflix series “House of Cards” when several claims of sexual assault emerged, and additional prospects dried up. During the hour-long seminar or when accepting the prize, Spacey stayed silent on the accusations.
