Warner Bros. Pictures released Black Adam to theaters in the United States on October 21st, 2022. The performances of Dwayne Johnson and Pierce Brosnan were praised by critics, but the screenplay and villain were criticized, as the action sequences elicited mixed reactions. Dwayne recently appeared to bash critics by highlighting Rotten Tomatoes’ audience score.

In a post celebrating the film’s commercial success, Dwayne Johnson took aim at the film’s critics. The film, in which Johnson portrays the DC antihero, was panned by critics in the week leading up to its release on Friday, October 21. As a result, Black Adam has a 41% critic score on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, which was based on 209 reviews at the time of writing.

However, cinema fans have given it great marks, giving the film a current audience score of 90%. Johnson celebrated his achievement on Twitter. “This phenomenal 90% AUDIENCE SCORE for #BlackAdam is so gratifying for so many reasons. THANK YOU for all so much for all the love and support,” he wrote.

Seemingly referencing the film’s negative reviews, the Hollywood star added: “In the end, the only thing that matters to me is sending the people home happy. And that’s what I’ll always fight for.” The film is on track to earn $60 million at the weekend box office, which would be the best opening for any Johnson film in the U. S. to date. In The Independent’s one-star review, critic Clarisse Loughrey called the film “bewildering.”

It’s relentless but stubbornly monotonous – what I imagine it’s like to be picked up curbside by the FBI and have a cloth bag thrown over my head, all while the car I’m in barrels through the dark towards an unknown destination.

Black Adam grossed $7.6 million in previews on Thursday night, the most in Johnson’s career and more than Shazam!’s $5.9 million. The film ‘Black Adam’ is currently in theaters. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
