Brendan Fraser previously received a six-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival after his film The Whale received a great reception from viewers. This was a very wholesome moment as well.

The film was eventually released and has been getting stellar reviews from fans and critics alike. While speaking to MTV News, The Rock made it clear that he wants Brendan Fraser to win an Oscar for his portrayal in The Whale.

“I want him to go all the way, man. I wanna see him on that Oscar stage, and hold that sucker up, and deliver, I’m sure, what will be an amazing speech.”

The Rock even credited Brendan Fraser for kickstarting his Hollywood journey. We will have to wait and see whether Brendan Fraser will end up winning an Oscar or not.
