Fans who were hoping to see their favorite emo bands of the 2000s in Las Vegas this weekend are going to be disappointed today. The concert is canceled.

Organizers behind the “When We Were Young” festival announced Saturday that their same-day kickoff in Vegas is now canceled due to strong winds being cited by the National Weather Service. The organizers stated they’ve been actively preparing for this.

The gust speeds were too high and dangerous upwards of 60 MPH, which has forced them to shut it down until tomorrow, Sunday the 23rd of October. The show, for now, will carry on as scheduled for those ticketholders, as well as ones for next Saturday the 29th.

For those who had tickets for today will have to seek a refund. The festival honchos apologetically said it will be issued within 30 days.

This year’s lineup is packed with bands that were all going to perform the same set times for both days. Headliners were Paramore and My Chemical Romance. Avril Lavigne, All-American Rejects, Bring Me The Horizon, Jimmy Eat World, Dance Gavin Dance, Taking Back Sunday, AFI, We The Kings, Bright Eyes, A Day To Remember, and more were supposed to perform.

Well, that’s terrible for the fans for today in Las Vegas. A real let down.
