Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone have come a long way since their high-profile dispute in the 1980s. The duo was recently seen preparing for Halloween together, carving pumpkins.
The “Predator” star teamed up with another Hollywood legend, Stallone for a pumpkin carving task for the approaching Halloween. However, the “Expendables” co-stars added their own touch by using survival knives to carry out the task.
On Tuesday night, the two shared a photo of their Halloween preparations on their respective Instagram accounts. Schwarzenegger posted the snap with his 22.6 million Instagram followers, writing, “Happy Halloween @officialslystallone.”
“Myself and my great friend Arnold, @schwarzenegger spending time at his amazing office Carving Pumpkin Heads for Halloween with Survival Knives !!! That’s what real ACTION guys do with their free time!”
The use of survival knives appears to be a subtle tribute to their respective action-packed golden days, as these tools were the keys in Stallone’s “Rambo” and Schwarzenegger’s “Commando.”
The two men constantly outdid one another, competing over who had the “biggest gun” and who would have the “less body fat when he goes into production.” But soon after working on “Escape Plan” and “The Expendables,” they put all of it behind them and developed a genuine friendship.
