WWE surprised fans by announcing that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier will be a guest referee for Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle’s Fight Pit at Extreme Rules. It seems that fans aren’t the only ones who want to see more of Cormier in WWE after the October 8th premium live event.

MMA and pro wrestling legend Ken Shamrock took to Twitter to react to Daniel Cormier’s involvement at Extreme Rules. Shamrock, who had a prolific career in both mixed martial arts and pro wrestling, expressed the hope that Extreme Rules won’t be the end of Cormier’s working relationship with WWE.

This is amazing, I’m hoping Daniel Cormier will have a role in WWE after this match #ExtremeRules

Ken Shamrock had previously expressed his desire to officiate the Fight Pit bout between Riddle and Rollins. The The World’s Most Dangerous Man wanted WWE to name the contest Lion’s Den and not Fight Pit.
