Britney Spears is truly living a proper life after her conservatorship ended last year. She endured a lot in the past 13 years and so, fans were elated to see her being to live her own life finally.

As previously reported, Britney Spears is back in the studio as she is now working with Elton John. Finally, Spears made her comeback to music with the release of her new track with Elton John. Spears and John collaborated on “Hold Me Closer,” a fresh take on his popular song “Tiny Dancer.”

The track is Spears’ first release after her conservatorship ended in November 2021. It was also said that Spears and Elton John are planning to make a music video for the song.

According to Hollywood Life, while the video dropped, Britney Spears wasn’t in the video. This is for a multitude of reasons as a source elaborated for the outlet.

She got super emotional and cried happy tears when she saw the final version. The interpretive dancers were flawless and, being a dancer herself, she feels that they conveyed the feeling that she wanted the video to have, which is hope, love, and triumph.

She loved the colorful element of the video and how every color of the rainbow is represented. She is very grateful to Elton for asking her to be a part of this, as it was eye-opening for her. Even though neither of them appeared, it was a very costly production.”

Britney’s absence onscreen, the source clarified, was because of “scheduling conflict and timing,” making it impossible for either her or John to appear in the dance video filmed in Mexico City locales.

It is interesting that she didn’t appear in the video, because Britney turned down an MTV VMA spot to be there for this video shoot.

It was further said that there is currently no plan for Britney to release any additional songs, or to join Elton on stage to perform the hit during his current tour. Regardless, Spears is back in the music discussion and that is all that matters.
