Cardi B is a controversial figure for a good reason. She has made mistakes in the past, and she’s not afraid to admit them, as we can see, she recently accepted a plea deal related to her strip club beating case.

According to TMZ, Cardi accepted to plead guilty to reckless endangerment and third-degree assault, both misdemeanors, and her sentence was reduced to 15 days of community service.

After taking the plea deal, Cardi explained that this is part of her growing up process.

“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to.

These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — music and my fans.”

Cardi appeared in court on Thursday, dressed entirely in white, to accept the last-minute plea deal. The trial was supposed to start on Monday with jury selection to begin on Friday, but such arrangements are no longer to be considered.

In August 2018, Jade and Baddie Gi, two strip club bartenders, were allegedly attacked on Cardi’s instructions. She allegedly believed Jade had slept with her rapper husband, Offset. A few months later, Cardi was arrested and charged for her alleged involvement in the strip club brawl.

An order of protection that demands Cardi to stay away for 3 years from the women is also a part of the plea agreement. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
