Lil Wayne & Pusha T’s beef aged like a fine wine in the hip-hop industry. It’s been so long that no one believes they’ll ever get together again. Now, fans are perplexed after a video showing Lil Wayne and Pusha T starring in a commercial promoting the upcoming NFL season surfaced online.

The video, which surfaced on the internet on August 25th, shows Weezy and King Push appearing in a gymnasium during an NFL pep rally while Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” plays in the background. The Young Money boss can be seen wearing an Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers jersey and holding a t-shirt gun.

The Clipse member can be seen wearing a Tom Brady Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey and riles up the crowd on a microphone. Saweetie, Young Dylan, TikTok/ YouTube star Frankie LaPenna, Buffalo Bills “Mafia” superfan Pinto Ron, pro boxer Ryan Garcia, DK Metcalf of the Seattle Seahawks, Derwin James of the Los Angeles Chargers, and Cam Jordan of the New Orleans Saints also appear in the video.

Given their famous rap beef, Wayne and Pusha participating in the same commercial are a sight to see for Hip Hop fans. Their relationship soured when they were shown together in the music video for Clipse’s 2002 track “What Happened To That Boy.” Lil Wayne said to Drinks Champs in 2020 that he didn’t know what went wrong between him and Push, comparing it to an athlete getting blindsided by the front office with a trade deal. “I swear to God I don’t, man,” he replied to the Drink Champs hosts, asking if he knew what started it.

“I just found out … it was one of those things … you ever see when an athlete gets traded and he don’t know it and he gets traded during a press conference? [Wayne’s friend] was like, ‘What you gonna do? You gonna come back at Pusha?’ I’m like, ‘What you mean? I’d love to do a song with him.’ He like, ‘Nah he dissing you now.’”

Pusha T has never stated the reason for his feud with Lil Wayne, which has led to a slew of rumors about what took place. As of press time, it’s unknown whether Push and Wayne are still feuding, are actual friends, or simply don’t care about one other anymore. Neither party has commented on their presence in the new NFL ad, nor have they commented on their relationship since Wayne stated it on Drink Champs.

It remains to be seen if they will reveal it shortly. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
