Tiffany Haddish is a great example of what it means to be a true success. In 2018, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most powerful people in the world, and The Hollywood Reporter named her one of the 100 most powerful people in entertainment in both 2018 and 2019.
While speaking to Cosmopolitan in a cover story, Tiffany Haddish revealed she once turned down a multimillion-dollar deal because the substance of the offer made her “feel like sh*t.”
“I’ve turned down, sh*t, I’ve turned down $10 million just to do a post because it didn’t represent my brand. I turned down $10 million because my soul is worth more than that to me. My spirit, my integrity, how I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror every day.”
The “Girls Trip” star admitted that she would “rather be flat broke” than accept money that does not represent her brand and speak to her soul as well.
Tiffany Haddish said that her mindset also has extended to her career on the silver screen and that it was still a “battle” to get the people she wants to be involved in projects, despite having “produced things, got nominated for awards, [and] won trophies.”
