Mike Tyson is in phenomenal shape for a 55-year-old man. The former heavyweight champion of the world showed everyone that he is still in peak condition when he recently fought Roy Jones Jr. Still, nobody is immune to time, and Iron Mike thinks his clock is ticking.

Tyson recently had his therapist, Sean McFarland, on his ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson‘ podcast. The two discussed some deep issues during their time. One of those was the inevitability of death.

When the subject came up, Mike Tyson became introspective. He talked about the fact that he can see himself getting closer. He said his expiration date could be coming up soon.

“We are all going to die, one day, of course. When I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face and say wow that’s my expiration date is coming close really soon.”

Sean McFarland said that death is not something he’s worried about. His advice to Mike was to accept that everybody dies. McFarland said Mike Tyson should do what he could to control the circumstances of his life.

Mike Tyson thinks he has limited time left. Looking at his physical makeup, that does not appear to be the case. Still, the champ is a deeper thinker than many would believe, and just like the rest of us, he thinks about his own death.
