Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s trial dominated headlines for the past couple of months as the entire world talked about it. The defamation case ended up harming Johnny Depp in a huge way, especially when it comes to his career. He was also going to be paid a lot of money for Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

Warner Bros fired Depp from his role of Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3 due to the domestic violence lawsuit. That wasn’t the only loss Johnny Depp suffered as he was booted from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Depp has previously said that he would never return to the franchise even if he was paid $300 million. Depp eventually won the defamation trial against Amber Heard as well.

According to Insider, during the defamation trial, his talent manager, Jack Whigham, said that the actor had verbally agreed to a $22.5 million deal to appear in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
