Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was accused by 30 women of sexual assault and harassment. According to reports, most of the suits have already been settled, but Watson himself is still facing suspension from the league. A new development has emerged regarding the women accusing Watson’s former team of enabling his “egregious behavior.”

According to TMZ, the women who have accused Watson have settled their case with his former team, the Houston Texans. Watson played for the Texans from 2017 to 2021 before being traded to the Browns. The attorney representing the accusers has not disclosed any further financial details regarding the settlement.

I will have no further comment on the allegations or the Texans’ role, other than to say that there is a marked contrast in the way in which the Texans addressed these allegations, and the way in which Watson’s team has done so.

Watson continues to remain under investigation by the NFL. He could face possible suspension if they find he indeed violated their personal conduct policy. As for the civil cases against him, the Houston Texan’s attorney confirmed that the four unsettle cases are still moving forward.
