NBA YoungBoy recently said that he was either headed to a cell or a grave. The rapper is facing federal firearms charges that could land him behind bars for seven years. Today, closing arguments wrapped up in his trial, and YoungBoy was met with some major support on his way out.

The Louisiana rapper was mobbed by fans as he left the courthouse. A video posted to social media showed YoungBoy greeting them as he walked toward his car. Eventually, he had to run down the street as several others chased him to his vehicle.

A federal jury will soon decide NBA YoungBoy’s fate. He has been tried for possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. YoungBoy was arrested in March of last year.

A high-speed chase through a residential neighborhood occurred before YoungBoy was finally stopped. Federal agents were attempting to arrest him on a warrant for a previous weapons charge in Louisiana. With all the evidence out there, it’s a matter of time before he finds out if he has been found guilty or not.

One thing NBA YoungBoy has working in his favor is that prosecutors were not allowed to use his lyrics as evidence. There was an attempt to link him to the weapon found in his vehicle to a line in one of his songs where he references it. That may not be enough to acquit him, however.

NBA YoungBoy’s fans were there to support him, just like Johnny Depp’s during his defamation trial with Amber Heard. While he appeared to appreciate it, these must be very nervous times. Soon enough, the jury will determine his future one way or the other.
