Ric Flair is one of wresting’s all-time greats and there’s no disputing that. The multi-time world champion retired years ago, but decided to return to the ring for one final match in the summer of 2022.

The 73-year-old was originally scheduled to perform at the Nashville Fairgrounds on July 31st as part of the Starrcast wrestling convention. The promoters recently moved the match to a new venue.

The match will now take place inside the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. It was previously reported that tickets for the original venue sold out within 24 hours, prompting owners to move to a new location.

Flair’s opponent – or opponents if this is a tag, which is expected – has yet to be announced. The Nature Boy has been training hard for his retirement bout and uploaded a couple of videos on his official Twitter handle.

Flair also spoke to 40 doctors to get cleared for his in-ring return. His retirement match is also not about the money. We’ll have to see how Flair’s final match will turn out to be.
