Kid Rock went on a drunken rant against Oprah Winfrey and Joy Behar at his honky-tonk in downtown Nashville, Tennessee in 2019. The controversial singer unleashed a barrage of profanity, name-dropping the two famed television hosts. The Detroit native is making no apologies for his behavior to this day.

During an interview on Fox Nation’s “Tucker Carlson Originals,” Kid Rock was asked about the intoxicated meltdown. The unapologetic singer showed no remorse. Instead, he expressed the same attitude one would expect given that his on-stage persona and real-life have increasingly meshed into one being.

Kid Rock did not offer any reason for his rant. He simply said he is not a fan of Oprah Winfrey. Rock said he owns every word of what he said.

“A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts, I own what I said. I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan. I got drunk and f*ckin’ next thing, I’m on stage [saying] f*ck Oprah.”

Kid Rock also admitted that he accidentally called out Kathy Lee Gifford during the drunken rambling. He meant to say Kathy Griffin, who he wanted to drag for her criticism of Donald Trump. Rock said he has been friendly with Gifford over the years.

Kid Rock’s career has devolved into a sort of self-parody. Most of his new material just reiterates tired conservative talking points to appeal to the lowest common denominator. For whatever reason, that is enough to make money in today’s entertainment business.
