Post Malone announced last month that he is going to become a father. With his new album dropping soon, there is a lot for Posty to look forward to. The “I Fall Apart” star is both excited and terrified about the prospects of being a first-time dad.

Malone recently spoke with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about the experience of becoming a parent. He talked about the wonder he experienced as a kid and is excited to bring someone into the world who can share that kind of growth. Post is also nervous about raising a child in today’s tumultuous society.

“I think, as a kid, I was like four or five, and I had this little baby I would carry around everywhere…it was a baby doll. And I thought that was the coolest thing. I would take him around everywhere. And I don’t know how long that lasted. But my mom still has it. And I guess, Zane, I’m so pumped up. I’m going to be a hot dad. DILF?

I am terrified. I’m terrified. There is this sense of impending apocalypse, especially here in LA.”

Post Malone went on to say that he is going to do his best to be there for his family. He plans to be protective, despite threats like disease, climate change, and violent crime. Malone is going to do his best to give his child a safe and secure life.

Twelve Carat Toothache drops on June 3. Shortly after, Post Malone will give birth to his greatest release yet. Fatherhood has Posty a little scared, but it’s a challenge he is more than ready to tackle.
