It seems that you can’t turn around anymore without reading about another pro athlete getting in trouble. Now we have another NFL DUI to report.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ wide receiver Travis Johnson was arrested early Monday. Police officers stated that they noticed his car weaving in and out of lane markings before making the pickup.

Click On Orlando reports that Travis Jonsen seemed to be inebriated and refused to give a breath sample and blood-alcohol test to Tampa police, according to officials. According to Hillsborough County Jail records, he was accused of driving while intoxicated.

Greg Auman tweeted out after the arrest to inform the public, “Bucs receiver Travis Jonsen was arrested at 3:18 a.m. today by Tampa Police Department. He refused a blood-alcohol test according to arrest records, was booked at 4:56 a.m. and remains in jail on $500 bond. DUI charge is a misdemeanor.”

Jonsen, who had over 1,000 all-purpose yards during his last year at Montana State, has not appeared in an NFL game but has spent most of the last two seasons on the Buccaneers’ practice squad. According to court records, Jonsen was released on bail later Monday after posting a $500 bond. On his jail records, there was no mention of a lawyer who could speak for him.

Jason Licht, the Buccaneers’ general manager, stated in a statement:

“We expect members of our organization to uphold the high standards that have been established,”

As the court process continues, Licht refuses to comment further. However, during the Memorial Day holiday, Tampa police advised drivers to use a ride-share or a sober designated driver.
