Rumors have been flying about the potential break-up of hip hop group Migos. Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff have become fan favorites for their chemistry and energy together. Fans were massively disappointed when it started looking like the group was calling it quits.

Offset recently stopped following Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram. That move only helped fuel the fires. Quavo was not interested in talking about the rumor when he was recently approached about it.

A reporter tried to get a comment from Quavo on whether Migos were breaking up. Quavo shrugged off the question. He then plugged his latest solo track. The influential DJ Akademiks recently joined TMZ Hip Hop to share his thoughts on a potential Migos breakup.

“Man, that’s cap man. That whole thing’s cap. Directly, I said, ‘Offset, listen, I know you, and I’ve had mad conversations with you, I don’t want to report something… They might be going through a small disagreement or whatever. I think they’re angling it because Takeoff and Quavo just put out a song, so they’re kind of letting it lie and letting the questions linger and stuff like that. But, at the end of the day, they’re family. Offset confirmed that to me too.”

The group is still booked for shows throughout the Summer. Fans have been looking forward to seeing them at Rolling Loud Toronto and Life Is Beautiful, among others. There has not been any official announcement on the state of those scheduled performances.

Despite all the speculation, DJ Akademiks thinks the group is just having fun with the rumors. He claims Offset himself called Migos family. In Ak’s mind, Migos are still going strong.
