Steve Aoki might want to stick to the turntables that made him famous. The Benihana heir was recently invited to throw out the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game. Aoki may have delivered the worst ceremonial pitch in the history of baseball.

The Red Sox were set to face the Houston Astros on Monday at Fenway Park. Aoki took the mound and wound up. The resulting first pitch may have been the most embarrassing moment of Steve Aoki’s life.

The ball sailed about twenty feet over the catcher’s head. It rolled over behind the protective netting behind home plate. The ball then landed in the crowd.

Boston sports fans aren’t known for their kindness. They all shared a huge laugh when they witnessed the horrific attempt at a pitch. The moment was captured by fans who then shared the hilarity on social media.

After the hilarious mishap, Steve Aoki took things in stride. The DJ tweeted that he will stick to throwing cakes. Many baseball fans have said this was the worst first pitch since 50 Cent’s attempt at a 2014 Cubs game.

Steve Aoki proved to the world that he doesn’t have the chops to be a baseball player. Fortunately, he remains one of the most popular electronic music acts in the United States. If he had to fall back on baseball, it’d be an utter disaster.
