Dr. Jordan Peterson was called out heavily on social media after he shamed the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model. The controversial University of Toronto professor announced that he was leaving Twitter after a major uproar followed his comments about model Yumi Nu. The account is still active, but Peterson has claimed he is done with the platform.

Peterson responded to Yumi Nu’s SI cover with some very negative language. He said the inclusion of a larger model was part of a progressive attempt to manipulate the notion of beauty. In reality, SI is making a conscious effort to be more inclusive of the wide-ranging and subjective concept of beauty.

“Sorry. Not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that…

It’s a conscious progressive attempt to manipulate & retool the notion of beauty, reliant on the idiot philosophy that such preferences are learned & properly changed by those who know better. But don’t let the facts stop you.”

Peterson said the “endless flood of vicious insults” was his reason for leaving Twitter. He then tweeted that he instructed his staff to change his password. Apparently, he does not have the will power to resist social media without the help of several other adults.

Jordan Peterson’s attempts to spin his bad take as a liberal attack were not well received. It is a classic case of being able to dish it out but not take it. Twitter will likely be just fine without his mysogonistic and regressive opinions on beauty.
