YSL artist Lil Keed first established his footing in the business in 2017 with his Trapped in Cleveland series and his critically acclaimed debut studio album, Long Live Mexico. Since then he pressed forward with a promising future as one of YSL’s standouts. Lil Keed has reportedly passed away, according to multiple reports.

While the circumstances of his death are unknown, Keed’s brother, Lil Gotit, appears to have confirmed the news on social media. Keed, whose real name is Raqhid Jevon Render, advocated for his fellow YSL members, including Young Thug and Gunna, who are still behind bars. He posted a video in which he described YSL as a “lifestyle” and a record label, not a fashion house, and he was praised for speaking out on behalf of his pals.

Keed is supposedly no longer with us, which comes as a shock to hip-hop. Several publications have reported on Keed’s death at this time, but it was an Instagram Story post by Lil Gotit that appeared to corroborate the news. No one has said anything about what happened or the reason of death, leaving followers to speculate.

@lilkeed Whyyy bra whyyy u leave me bra [several smiling with a tear emojis].

However, it appears that many are currently more concerned with his family, as well as the shock of learning of the rapper’s death. With all of the pressures YSL has been under this week, Keed’s loss is even more devastating. Lil Keed will be missed, and we will keep you informed when more information regarding his death becomes available. We express our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. RIP.
