Wendy Williams and Sherri Shepherd exchanged a bit of back and forth heat recently. After a few of weeks of squabbling in the press, Sherri Shepherd and Wendy Williams appear to be ready for a cooldown. Williams, whose talk show slot will be taken over by Shepherd in the fall, was trashing her successor for weeks. Now an olive branch might be extended between the two.

Despite Shepherd’s announcement, Williams indicated in a recent podcast interview with Fat Joe that she will be back to her talk program in the fall. According to sources close to the matter, this is impossible, because Shepherd’s contract has already been signed.

Williams was questioned if she had been watching Shepherd as a guest on her show. Williams stated that she only enjoyed the guest hosts Joe and Remy Ma. Williams has now expressed her desire to meet Sherri who took over her daytime talk show. Williams revealed this to ET online and her lawyer also spoke with the outlet.

The Shade Room’s Instagram feed picked up the story. Shepherd liked the post, showing that she is, at least, interested in having the conversation. She has yet to make an official statement about the situation.

Williams is also involved in a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Wells Fargo for allegedly freezing her bank accounts. The bank expressed concern that she had been a victim of financial exploitation. The case is closed to the public, but it is still proceeding. Now, only time will tell if the pair can settle their differences with this meeting.
