Rod Wave was arrested earlier this month for felony battery. The “Heart on Ice” star was booked in St. Petersburg, Florida after being picked up on a warrant service. Details at the time were sketchy.

A Tampa Bay Times review of the arrest affidavit that led to Rod Wave’s arrest reveals the shocking details of the case. On April 24, two emergency calls were made by the alleged victim. The caller was Rod’s ex-girlfriend, who said that Wave entered their home and got physical with her.

While the ex-girlfriend was asleep, Rod Wave came in through the front door and entered the bedroom. He accused her of infidelity and then choked her until she couldn’t breathe. Police arrived after Rod had already fled the scene.

Authorities noticed a scratch on the woman’s neck. She declined medical assistance. She then told police that she had been in a relationship with Rod Wave for four years and that they have two children together.
