Rod Wave’s Mugshot Released Following Felony Battery Arrest

Rod Wave’s legal troubles don’t seem to be ending. As noted earlier, Rod Wave was arrested in Florida on May 2nd. A mugshot of his arrest has now been released.

The “Heart on Ice” rapper was arrested earlier this morning by the St. Petersburg police. According to Pitchfork he was charged for a felony battery by strangulation. He remains in custody as of this writing.

He is being held in an Osceola County jail. Details surrounding his arrest are still unclear. The arrest came right on the heels of the him announcing over the weekend that his upcoming album, Beautiful Mind, is finished.

Rod has a history of arrests and offenses which will, of course, be used against him in the court of law. The report earlier noted that he was also wanted for a previous crime so that makes it even harder for him to get out of this situation.

Depending on what happens Rod might have to stay longer in custody. Even though the specific circumstances behind his arrest are unclear it is not hard to assume that he won’t be able to drop the promised album soon.
