Why Kanye West Walked Out Of Kim Kardashian’s SNL Monologue

Kim Kardashian was once again launched into controversy after she revealed her suspicions about a second Ray J sex tape’s existence. However, it seems Kanye washed away all her worries as he got back all of her sex tape in the third episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians. It seems Kim recently revealed why Kanye walked out of her SNL appearance mid-monologue.

Kim Kardashian’s kiss with Pete Davidson on Saturday Night Live wasn’t the only thing that irritated Kanye West about her appearance on the long-running comedy series. Despite the fact that Kardashian had already filed for divorce at the time of the taping, West was in the audience for his estranged wife’s hosting gig.

After Davidson and Kardashian made their romance public, the Rap mogul expressed his displeasure with his attendance at the show. It was all brought up again on the Hulu series The Kardashians, where Kim and her sister Khloé discussed West. Khloé was curious about how things were going with West and the split.

Kim said on Saturday Night Live that she married “the best rapper of all time,” referring to West as “talented” and a “genius.” However, there was one incident that irritated West when she mentioned their divorce. Despite that fact, West sampled the monologue on Donda. Kim recently revealed why he walked out.

He walked out on SNL, like mid-monologue. He’s upset at the fact that I said, ‘The reason I divorced him.’ [I] used the word ‘divorced’ — he wished I said the word ‘filed for divorce.’ He was upset that I also said he was a rapper. He said, ‘I’m so much more than a rapper. I can’t believe you said ‘rapper.’

Kim went on to say that despite West’s antics throughout their marriage, she has always supported him. “I sat there through so many speeches and things that haven’t been the most comfortable for me,” she added. “But that was my partner and I stood by him, I would never embarrass him and walk out.” Check out Kim Kardashian’s Saturday Night Live monologue below.
