Colin Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL for the last five years. NFL franchises are still hesitant to sign him due to his controversial past. However, Las Vegas Raiders owner is hoping to see Kaepernick return to the field.

Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis sat down with NBC Sports for an interview and shared his support of Kaepernick making a return. He admitted that if it were up to him he’d welcome the former quarterback with open arms.

“I believe in Colin Kaepernick,” he said. “He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League. I still stand by it. If our coaches and general manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms.”

Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since he threw his last pass as a member of the 49ers in 2016. A lot happened and he is wishing his way back since. The 36-year-old is so desperate that he is ready to return even as a backup quarterback.

Even though Kap has vocal support from Davis, the rosters decision are all in the hands of new General Manager Dave Ziegler and new Head Coach Josh McDaniels. And they haven’t show any interest in Kaepernick yet. Kap’s future isn’t looking bright at this moment, we will just have to wait and see what’s next for him.
