The Auburn football community is mourning one of its own after receiving some tragic news. Former Tigers quarterback Jeff Klein passed away at the young age of 43. Klein played for Auburn from 1999 to 2001.

Jeff had been battling cancer for an undisclosed amount of time. Klein’s wife, Adrienne, announced the news in a Facebook post yesterday. The Auburn football team shared the news on social media later that evening.

“An Auburn Man through and through. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of former Auburn QB Jeff Klein.

Rest In Peace, Jeff.”

Jeff Klein’s Auburn teammates poured onto Adrienne’s Facebook page to offer their condolences. Their brother passed away far too soon. The loss has shaken up the entire Auburn Tigers nation.

The sad week started with the news that former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins passed away after being hit by a truck. The college football world will mourn these two athletes who left us far before their time. It is a reminder that life can pass you buy at a moment’s notice.
