Jake Paul simply loves getting under the skin of his opponents before every boxing match. Jake Paul is also never afraid to call out big names in the UFC world for fights as he has called out the likes of Nate Diaz many times for a fight. At one time he even called Nate Diaz every day to book a fight against him.
Jake Paul even claimed that a boxing match between himself and Nate Diaz would sell 1.5 million pay-per-views. He even went so far as to claim that a fight against Nate Diaz would be light work for him.
This led to Nate Diaz brutally roasting Jake Paul on numerous occasions, but that did not necessarily stop Paul in his quest for a fight against Diaz either.
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen talked about Jake Paul squaring off against Nate Diaz. Sonnen compared the possible fight to ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and The Rock.
“Jake Shields weighing in on the possibility of Nate Diaz and Jake Paul. And that is a Rock versus Stone Cold matchup when you come down to who’s the bigger star, who needs who more. That is your partner. And if you can get a big name across from you – you get a big name calling you out on Twitter – you get a phone call that’s the matchmaker on the other end, and he’s telling you a name that you go, ‘My goodness! That guy’s huge. That’s going to elevate me. That’s going to give me an opportunity.’”
Nate Diaz, of course, one of the biggest stars in all of combat. Period. But Jake Paul offers something special.”
Jake Paul even supported Nate Diaz recently, where Diaz simply wanted out of his UFC contract. We’ll have to see whether Paul and Diaz will duke it out one day or not.
