Lil Xan Heads For Rehab After Getting Out Of Psych Ward

Lil Xan voluntarily checked himself in the hospital last week. He spent three days in the psych ward before being released. After his release from psych ward he is now moving on to a different part of the facility focused on mental health.

Lil Xan is now headed for the rehab, according to AllHipHop. Lil Xan left a psychiatric ward after medical professionals determined he wasn’t a danger to himself or others. He now moved to a rehab center in an effort to continue treatment for his mental health.

The rapper reportedly checked in to a hospital for a mixture of exhaustion, dehydration and depression from things he was seeing online. While he voluntarily checked himself in, the hospital apparently ’51/50’d’ the star. It is a slang term referring to a California law whereby a hospital can keep a patient under observation against their will if they display a danger to themselves or others.

Lil Xan took to social media last Wednesday to give his followers an update on how he was feeling. He also added a photo that appeared to be taken from his hospital bed.

“Didn’t want to let people know how it was affecting my mental health but I feel I should. Been in the hospital on a 51/50. Please stop speaking about me if you don’t know me I’m a human being just like you”.

Lil Xan has been open about his struggles with drugs. He detailed his addiction in an appearance on 60 Minutes interview from August. The rapper said that he began to realize that his benzos use was morphing in to an addiction so he needed to stop.

“I looked in the mirror and I’m, like, it was just that moment you know, like, if I keep doing this, I’m gonna die soon”.

Lil Xan’s stint in the facility started just a day before his new song Rebound, featuring $teven Cannon and Kinfolk John, was released. He also accused his former manager Stat Quo of enabling his addiction. Listen to what the rapper had to say about Stat Quo below.
